Blanket – Cobija

Book, In Love, Love, mischievous, Poesía, Poetry, Romance

I’ve been reading too much about Juliet and her Romeo.

The sun,
after insisting in ending the night
it tears the veil of darkness
                       with its rays of light.
The day,
it commands we unfold from the covers
and from the embrace
                  that consecrates us as lovers.

I,
object to honor the sun
in its brilliant audacity.
You,
please delay the clock
in its diurnal velocity.

My blanket,
has the power to imitate the dark.
Us,
under this artificial nocturnal sanctuary
can continue with our tryst
and become Romeo and Juliet
pre-
     tra-ge-dy.

Come to me my noble pilgrim.

MARLA WOODS

He estado leyendo mucho sobre Julieta y su Romeo.

El sol,
tras su insistencia de acabar con la noche...
con sus rayos,
el velo de la oscuridad rompe.
El día,
nos exige nos desdoblemos de entre
                                                    las sábanas
y del abrazo que como amantes
                                                 nos consagra.

Yo,
me niego a honrar el sol
en su brillante osadía.
Tú,
por favor atrasa el reloj
en su velocidad matutina.

Mi cobija,
tiene el poder de imitar la oscuridad.
Nosotros,
bajo este santuario nocturno artificial
podemos continuar con
                    el intercambio de respiros
que nos converte en Romeo y Julieta
pre
      tra-ge-dia.

Ven a mí mi noble peregrino.
